About 

 

My name is Fanni Somogyi. I am a London-based multidisciplinary artist who specialises in 3 areas of design including my individual Art Practice, Costume Design for Films and also Costume Make for various projects.

I have graduated from UAL Central Saint Martins in 2022 with First Class Honours in Performance: Design and Practice. Since then have been working in all 3 areas of my expertise.

 

I am active in my Art Practice and have had the chance to exhibit my work while also continuously developing it.

Within this short amount of time, I have had the opportunity to be the costume designer for a wide range of films. The genre of films includes drama, period, commercial, animation etc. During the projects, some required my costume making knowledge and practice. Examples of this include making a Jester hat and handmade textile making.

Several films received awards and nominations including Trouble (Student Academy Awards Finalist 2024), Jester (2024 YUGO BAFTA Student Awards Longlist), Jeremy: A Nightmare (Best Postgraduate Film 2023) and Be True To Your Nature (Best Student Commercial 2023). Other films made their debut at prestigious film festivals including Bolton International Film Festival, SXSW Film and TV Festival, North East International Film Festival.
